Lattice
Navigate git history as a walkable space
Lattice is a command line tool for senior engineers who need to read history, not just log it. Move through commits, branches and tags with spatial commands. Quiet, fast, and precise.
user@host:~ lattice walk --branch main --since 3m
1 a3f9c2d feat(auth): add token rotation
2 9b1e4a1 fix(api): backoff on 429
3 e12d8f0 chore(ci): cache deps
→ 4 c4a2b91 refactor(repo): extract core
5 f0a1c33 docs(readme): update examples
Principles
Spatial navigation
Up, down, left, right through parent and child commits. No scrolling lists.
Temporal filters
Constrain by time, author, file path, and branch. Keep the view tight.
Minimal surface
One command, one model. Output is plain text you can pipe.
Quiet operation
Low noise by default. Status only when it matters.
Install
~ curl -fsSL https://lattice.dev/install | sh
~ lattice --version
v0.1.0
Lattice does not render in your terminal. It builds a model of history you can query with simple commands.
